OQ Farm Songwriters Festival Brings Music to the Green Mountains

The hills of OQ Farm were once again alive with the sounds of fabulous music at the second annual OQ Songwriters Festival. Songwriters from around the country spent several days at the farm, working together in small groups, creating new music and collaborating on existing pieces.
Grammy award-winning producer and Sword & Spoon partner Charlie Peacock assembled the songwriters and orchestrated the programming. For the musicians, being surrounded by the quiet beauty of the farm was a welcome respite from their busy worlds.
“Thank you for giving us a place and time to step back, connect with beautiful people and surroundings, and create! It’s ironic that even though music is what I do every single day, it can still be hard to find time to do that,” said musician and songwriter Scott Mulvahill
“The time spent at OQ was very fruitful! I wrote some songs that I’m sure I’ll be using down the road.”
The festival was capped off by the OQ Farm Songwriters Festival Concert, a free, open-to-the-public, that takes place in the natural amphitheater of the farm’s hills.
