OQ Farm Partners Make History During Holy Week

“Art and Poetry are the scars – the “inveterate scars” – of trauma.  The scar tissue still thickens in us; it also hides, heals and replaces the smooth skins of our innocence. “

Those powerful words were spoken by Sword & Spoon partner and renowned artist Makoto Fujimura as he spoke at the historic King’s Chapel in Cambridge, UK for the opening of its Holy Week celebrations. Fujimura and Bruce Herman, also a Sword & Spoon partner, made history with their QU4RTETS project – it was the first time modern paintings were installed in the chapel’s history. QU4RTETS, funded in part by the Sword & Spoon Foundation, is a unique multimedia collaboration inspired by and in response to the epic poem Four Quartets by T.S. Eliot.
